The Role: As a Programmatic Media Buyer, you are the go-to resource for campaign activation, campaign optimization, and reporting. Ciceron is seeking a programmatic media buyer that will lead trading across a wide variety of clients inclusive of the in-platform management, optimization, and reporting. They will work closely with the media team to optimize delivery towards goals/KPI and drive effectiveness across multiple brands.

As the Programmatic Media Buyer  your responsibilities will include supporting your Ciceron teams and clients in these key areas:

  • You’re passionate about “getting it done” and enjoy the accomplishment of working on a volume of many moving pieces. 
  • You are gladly willing and able to be at-the-ready for last minute campaign requests, creative swaps, budget reallocations, etc. 
  • You have experience with managing multiple campaigns with multiple creative executions and staying very organized.
  • You are good with the details to ensure that each component of each campaign is exact, well-proofed, double-checked, triple-checked and ready-to-go.
  • You have the ability to adapt as needed.
  • You help gather information, clear obstacles, and troubleshoot in order to deliver great work.
  • You enjoy learning.
  • You establish clear objectives and day-to-day priorities for yourself and fully own your responsibilities and deliverables.
  • You regularly communicate with your teams and management and understand that success is the result of teamwork. 
  • You know how to listen. And you are able to use this talent to effectively translate into ideas and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering and measuring all programmatic display, video, native, and audio activity, ensuring campaigns meet KPI targets and objectives.
  • Undertaking daily campaign optimization and proactively managing budgets across all programmatic channels and campaigns.
  • Provide insights into the performance of activity against channel targets during weekly status meetings.
  • Ensure all reporting and analysis are focused on creating actionable insights.
  • Adopt a test and learn mentality, ensuring the strategy is constantly evolving and improving programmatic activity.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of programmatic experience in-house or within an agency. 
  • Experience with media buying platforms (including DoubleClick Campaign Manager, The Trade Desk, Google Ads, Spotify Ad Studio, and Zemanta).
  • Knowledge and understanding of tracking and tagging using floodlights and universal pixels.
  • Experience optimizing all programmatic activity, including bid management, creative, and competitor benchmarking. 
  • Confident in presenting findings to the team.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of audiences.  
  • Confident in querying data and problem solving.  
  • Ability to analyze data and report on findings.   
  • Competent with Excel  with experience using pivot tables.
  • Solid understanding of the digital media industry.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
  • Stay current on best practices and share learnings with the media team to continually improve services. Keep up to date on the latest trends, projects, and innovations.
  • BONUS: experience using search advertising platforms (Google Ads, Bing ads)
