Ciceron Adds Director of Media Investment Jake Coldren

MINNEAPOLIS (June 12, 2019) — Ciceron, a digital first, full-service advertising and marketing agency headquartered in Minneapolis, is adding to its rapidly growing team. Jake Coldren, director of media investment strategy, started in May and provides Ciceron clients with sound media guidance across the entire media spectrum, from television to Twitch. He reports directly to Andrew Eklund, founder and CEO.

“We are excited to have Jake join our talented team as he brings a wealth of experience in both agency-side planning and buying and brand-side empathy,” said Eklund, Ciceron’s founder and CEO. “This reversed-engineered hire is important as traditional channels move from old ways of media buying towards more sophisticated packages.”

The hire continues to strengthen the Ciceron Media Group offering for clients as they continue to diversify their media portfolio to stay atop increasingly nomadic audiences. Blending his experience in designing great media strategies for Fortune 50 clients with Ciceron’s unmatched digital expertise, Jake will work hand-in-hand with Jody Biagini, director of media strategy and planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary media team at the agency for clients like Warner Music, Blu Dot, Be The Match, and Georgia Pacific.

Coldren, a Minnesota native, brings nearly 15 years of combined agency and in-house experience. He was most recently a Marketing Communications Manager at General Mills, where he led the kids’ cereal unit. There he oversaw a marketing mix that consisted of creative, media buying, public relations, social media, and internal marketing for nostalgic and iconic brands, such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reeses Puffs. Prior to General Mills, Coldren spent nearly eight years of his career at Carmichael Lynch, Colle+McVoy and OLSON, where he worked on iconic and challenger brands in the health care, consumer product goods, auto and travel/leisure industries.

Coldren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
